October 29, 2015. Radio Okapi, Kamina, Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, reports that an organized protest by 50 defence counsel took place on October 28, 2015 to publicly demonstrate against the alleged aggression and detention of one of their colleagues by the "Military Prosecutor" of the local Karmina Garrison. On completion of their march, they also filed a Protest Memorandum with the local judicial authorities denouncing several other 'abuses of power' as well as illegal and arbitrary arrests by the same Military Prosecutor asking that the Military Prosecutor be immediately removed.
Note. A military prosecutor (Auditeur) is appointed pursuant to the Congolese Code of Military Justice (Code de justice militaire congolais).
