Not military justice, but

The New York Times is reporting that a Sikh U.S. Army officer is being allowed to keep his beard. It's about time. Now the question is whether his permission to do so will be made permanent.*

*The editor had a beard for much of his post-OCS active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard. It was not a matter of religious accommodation and didn't seem to make a difference to anyone.
